Philippines Denounces Disinformation on Palawan
The Philippine government has firmly rejected false claims suggesting that Palawan is part of China. The Philippine Navy, through the BRP Sierra Madre, stated unequivocally, “Palawan has always been, is, and will remain a part of the Philippines. It is not disputed. It is not up for debate.”
This statement follows the circulation of misleading social media images depicting China’s dashed lines extending over Palawan. The Philippine military has reiterated its commitment to defending the country’s territorial integrity against disinformation and foreign influence.
